DESCRIPTION:
On April 29, 1980, seven-year-old leukemia patient Christopher James Greicius made a wish. He wished to be a police officer. Family and friends of Greicius worked together to grant his desire ‘to be a police officer.’ From that simple wish, a movement and one of the most beloved charities in the world was born. World Wish Day celebrates the anniversary of the wish and the founding idea behind the Make-a-Wish Foundation.
